I am so excited to release the limited edition prints of the 2021 Texas Ranch Roundup Top Horse, “Sir Olenas Lad”, aka “Conagher”. This talented gelding is a product of the Pitchfork Ranch breeding program. He is by “Nasty CD” and out of “Ms Sir Sixty Three”. “Conagher” was a favorite in Clint Jones’s string for his entire career. Along with being the Top Horse at the TRR he was also a money earner in the RHAA and won the Ranch Hand class at the 2019 RHAA show at the Texas Ranch Roundup.
The Pitchfork Ranch and Jones family lost this great gelding to an injury this year so it was especially sweet to be able to create this artwork for the ranch and the family. Because of this I would like to thank Mary Gillian’s and Hadley Ann Photography for the reference photos that I needed to get his likeness! It will be a true honor to present the original to the Pitchfork Ranch and a framed print to Clint Jones.
““You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.””
Revelation 4:11 NIV
