I would like to offer this limited edition print, “The Tollison #137”, as a tribute to the late Ron Tollison and his incredible work. I am so grateful to have been able to meet Mr. Tollison a few years ago and spend some time visiting with he and Mr. Klapper each year since in Amarillo at the WRCA Finals. The wealth of knowledge and depth of craftsmanship shared by these 2 gentlemen was astounding. Mr Tollison will certainly be sorely missed by his family, friends, and the followers of his craft. One of the biggest blessing of my art has been the opportunities that I have had to spend with such talented and wonderful people like these two gentlemen. The western world is a special place and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to share a small place in it! Carrying Mr Tollison’s handiwork is everyone’s favorite Top Horse, Banjo”, aka “TRR Hillbilly Rock”. He is a Tongue River Ranch gelding by “Cats Hillbilly” out of “TRR Girls A Rockin” in Elwin McCleskey’s string. Please see the comments for his long list of accomplishments! I would like to thank the Tongue River Ranch family for their friendship and the precious opportunities over the years to gather material for my work there. It is truly a special place and I will always be grateful that God put things in place for me to end up there is 2013. It has been an amazing journey!
