Biloxi

This little headshot features “Biloxi”, aka “Pocket Protector”. I had the opportunity to go to the Waggoner Ranch earlier this spring and photograph this nice ranch gelding. “Biloxi” has been in Brad Good’s string since he was a two year old. Brad and his family live at the Santa Rosa Camp on the Waggoner.

This nine year old gelding has a long list of accomplishments including the 2022 Stamford Ranch Horse completion champion, the 2023 Archer County Ranch Rodeo Top Horse and most recent the 2024 Texas Ranch Roundup Top Horse. With all of these notable awards, he has an even higher calling. “Biloxi” has become a family favorite and trusted mount for Brad’s wife and kids. Like a lot of the large ranches, the Waggoner sells these great geldings while they are still in their prime. “Biloxi” was set to sell at the Western Heritage Classic in May so I was glad to be able to feature him in this piece, as well as the Top Horse portrait that will be presented at the Texas Ranch Roundup July 19th in Wichita Falls.

I would also like to add that the beautiful bit he is packing was made by the talented Ryan Looper for the Archer County Top Horse award.
